Korean singer Lee Sang Eun found dead minutes before performance

July 8: Korean singer Lee Sang Eun has passed away at the age of 46.

Soprano singer Lee Sang Eun was due to perform but was found dead just minutes before her stage appearance. She passed away on July 6 and her demise is currently under investigation.

The popular singer was reportedly found dead in a women's bathroom, just minutes before her performance. An event staffer is said to have found Sang Eun's lifeless body and alerted the Police.

"It was time for Lee Sang Eun to come on stage, but she wasn't backstage. When I looked in the bathroom, I found her lying on the floor", said the staffer.

A probe has been launched into Lee Sang Eun's death and the Police are investigating the circumstances of her death. Reportedly, no foul play is being suspected.

Fondly remembered as a soprano singer, Lee Sang Eun graduated from Seoul National University and earned a Master's degree from the Mannes School of Music in New York.
