Ruling coalition meeting starts on Baluwatar

KATHMANDU, July 3: The ruling coalition meeting has started in the official residence of the Prime Minister in Baluwatar.

The meeting is held to discuss the formation of a new government in Koshi Province. There will also be a discussion on the division of the Chairpersons of the different committees of the Parliamentary Committee.

After the UML-led government collapsed on Friday as it failed to get a vote of confidence, the chief of the Koshi Province, Parshuram Khapung, called for the formation of a new government on Sunday. To finalize which party will lead the Provincial government, the top leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party and CPN Unified Socialist will discuss the matter in the meeting.
