General Manager of Cricket Association resigns in disagreement with Chairman’s work

KATHMANDU, July 1: General Manager of Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) Britanta Khanal has announced his resignation. Khana told Ratopati that he had resigned from his post expressing disagreement with CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand's style of work.

CAN President Chand has also revealed that the resignation of General Manager Khanal was accepted. "He has resigned and his resignation has been accepted," said Chairman Chand.

“I decided to resign because of political interference in everything. Unnecessary political interference has spoiled the sport," said Khanal.

Khanal also raised questions about President Chand's working style. “The working style of the CAN president is also not good. He argues about everything. He wants his way in everything. He cannot even accept good advice from others. There is no option but to resign as there is no environment to work with him," he said.
