New Practice in Parliament: Tribute to Provincial Parliamentarian in HoR

KATHMANDU, June 21: A new practice has been started in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. According to the Private Secretariat of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, the practice of passing a condolence resolution at the beginning and postponing the meeting has been started with the Province Minister passing away, as a gesture of respect. 

Accordingly, the condolence resolution of Prithvi Bahadur Singh, a member of the Sudurpashchim Provincial Assembly who was elected from Bajhang 1 (A), was passed in the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday before ending the meeting session. Singh, a Provincial Minister, died in a road accident in Bajhang on Tuesday. The discussion on the budget has been continuing in the second meeting held on Wednesday.
