Biparjoy Cyclone: 6 dead in Gujarat, 37 thousand people moved to safety

GUJARAT, June 14: 6 people have died in Gujarat due to the Biparjoy cyclone. The storm which started yesterday due to the cyclone has terrorized the areas nearby day by day. Due to the storm, more than 37 thousand people have been moved to safe places.

The Gujarat State Government has stated that it is trying its fullest to keep the citizens safe from the dangers of the storm which has been increasing every day.

In view of the threat of the Biparjoy, many government agencies have issued alerts in the coastal districts of Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kachchh. Winds of 125-135 km/h to 150 km/h are expected in Jakhau on Thursday evening.

The cyclone-induced storm is moving towards the coastal districts of Gujarat, due to which the death toll is also rising. According to Indian Media, six people have died so far after two more deaths on Tuesday.

The India Meteorological Department has stated that the damage will be extreme when it enters the state, even if the cyclone, according to the forecast, seems weak.
