Chairman Timilsina visits Mao Tsetung's mausoleum
KATHMANDU, June 13: National Assembly's Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who is on an official visit to China, has reached the mausoleum of Mao Tsetung in Beijing. On Tuesday, he visited the late Mao Tsetung's mausoleum and paid his respects.
Timilsina also met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), Zhao Leji.
During the meeting held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the NA Chair highlighted the cordial and deeper ties between Nepal and China for centuries. "Nepal and China are closely connected by culture and customs," he said, expressing his hope that the bilateral relations would further grow in the days to come.
Chairman Timilsina is on a visit to China leading a 9-member parliamentary delegation. Timilsina is scheduled to meet and negotiate with Wang Huning, the Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, during his visit.
