Nepal loses to China in U-20 Women's Asian Cup
KATHMANDU, June 8: Nepal has lost to China by a wide margin in the second round of the U-20 Women's Asian Cup Qualifiers. In the match played in Myanmar, China defeated Nepal by 5-0 goals on Thursday.
Nepal has now lost for the second time in the second round of the qualifiers. Nepal was defeated previously by the host Myanmar by 5-0 goals. In the match hosted in Myanmar's Yangon, Nepal conceded 4 goals in the first half and 1 goal in the second half.
Yuyang Yuan scored the first goal for China in the 16th minute of the match. Hyu Yuxin scored the second goal in the 26th minute. Another goal was scored by Yin Lihang in the 2nd minute of the additional time of the first half. And one more goal was scored in the 5th minute of the additional time by Lu Xuayu in the first half.
The final goal was scored in the 89th minute of the match by Yu Xiaqui for China. This is the second consecutive win for China in the qualifiers. Before this, China defeated Chinese Taipei by 1-0 goal.
Nepal will play its final game of the qualifiers against Chinese Taipei on Saturday. Nepal advanced past the first round of the qualifiers after winning its group in the first round in Palestine. Nepal was in Group 'B' of the first round.
