Writ against Citizenship Bill Authentication reaches SC
KATHMANDU, June 1: A writ filed against Citizenship Bill Authentication has reached the Supreme Court. The Citizenship Bill was authenticated by President Ramchandra Paudel on Wednesday.
Demanding the annulment of the President’s controversial decision, a petition was filed by Senior Advocate Surendra Bhandari and others.
In the writ, the petitioner demanded to annul the President’s decision, and not make the authenticated Bill a part of the Act, in accordance with the parliamentary procedure.
