Conclusion of unity of Baidya and Bastola, Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal to be formed
KATHMANDU, April 29: A final decision has been made regarding the unity between the Mohan Baidhya-led CPN Revolutionary Maoist and the Dharmendra Bastola-led CPN Majority Party. Baidya will be the coordinator of the new party, which will be named the Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal, and Bastola is going to be the spokesperson.
According to Bastola, 15 office members will be there in the unified party, while a total of 267 members' central convention organizing committee has been formed, which includes central members from both parties. Bastola informed that it has been decided to hold a unity convention within a year.
Interim legislation for unity has been passed and party documents have also been passed. According to Bastola, the announcement of party unity will be made on May 1, Labor Day.
