Diplomats and foreign Nationals evacuated from Sudan as conflict escalates

April 24: A growing list of countries have evacuated diplomats and citizens from Sudan's capital as fierce fighting continues to rage in Khartoum.

The US and UK announced on Sunday they had flown diplomats out of the country.

France, Germany, Italy and Spain have also been evacuating diplomats and other nationals.

A vicious power struggle between the regular army and a powerful paramilitary force has led to violence across Sudan.

The ongoing conflict in Sudan has entered the ninth day on Sunday, but there is no sign of a solution between the two parties involved in the conflict. The ceasefire was only for one day on the occasion of Eid.

US authorities said they had airlifted fewer than 100 people with three Chinook helicopters on Sunday morning in a "fast and clean" operation.

However, Sudanese citizens are also looking for a safe place inside the country. Many people risk their lives to cross the dangerous roads to Egypt.

The conflict in Sudan has now taken a terrible form. According to the Associated Press, 420 people have died in the Sudan conflict so far. Out of which 264 are civilians. It is also reported that 3700 people were injured.

The Rapid Support Force said its armed fighters had carried out airstrikes in areas connected to Kafori and Khartoum. At present, there has been no statement from the army.
