Sample ballot papers prepared for Tanahun, Chitwan and Bara By-elections

KATHMANDU, April 22: The silent period for the By-elections to be held in 3 constituencies of the country on April 23 is currently continuing. Voting time for tomorrow is from 7 am to 5 pm in Tanahun Area No. 1, Chitwan Area No. 2, and Bara Area No. 2. The Election Commission has informed that the election materials including ballot papers have been sent to the respective district election offices for the by-elections.

9 candidates are competing in Tanahun, 22 candidates are competing in Chitwan and 34 candidates are competing for the election in Bara. Before the voting, the Election Commission also published the sample ballot paper.

In the sample ballot paper, the political party election symbols have been placed based on the position they have in the parliament. There is no election symbol of the Maoist center on the ballot paper in this By-election as Maoists are not present in By-elections of 3 the regions due to the fact that the Maoists have not presented candidates and have just supported the candidates of the parties in the coalition.
