COVID-19 cases spike: 142 new cases confirmed in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, March 31:The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed that Nepal has recorded 142 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

The cases were identified from 1,079 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. This has raised concerns about the increasing number of cases in the country, which has been grappling with the pandemic since early last year.

The MoHP has been urging the public to follow safety measures, such as wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and avoiding large gatherings, to curb the spread of the virus. However, the rise in the number of cases indicates that more needs to be done to contain the disease.

The public is advised to remain vigilant and cooperate with the government in its efforts to control the pandemic. It is essential to follow safety measures and get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect oneself and others from COVID-19.
