Saudi Arabia: 20 dead as fire breaks out in bus heading to Mecca

March 29: At least 20 people were killed and 30 injured when a bus going to Mecca crashed in the Asir province according to the Saudi government media. However, it is estimated that the number of dead may increase.

It is said that Umrah pilgrims were on the bus. Residents of Saudi Arabia and other countries were on the bus.

According to the report received from the government, the bus collided with a bridge and overturned 14 kilometers in Aqabat Shar of Asir province, located in the southwest of the country. Then the bus caught fire.

Al Arabiya news channel has stated that the brakes of the bus failed and then the bus collided with the bridge.
