Ruling alliance to nominate Jeetnarayan Shrestha as candidate for Chitwan-2 By-Election

KATHMANDU, March 29: After the Supreme Court nullified the membership of Rabi Lamichhane, Chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party, in the House of Representatives due to an invalid citizenship status, a by-election is scheduled to fill the vacant position in Chitwan-2.

In this regard, the ruling alliance has decided to field Jeetnarayan Shrestha from the Nepali Congress party as their candidate for the upcoming by-election.

A party meeting has been scheduled for Thursday at 11 am to formalize this decision.
