Bangladesh: Massive fire in Rohingya camp, 12 thousand homeless

March 6: Thousands have become homeless after a fire spread in the Rohingya refugee camp in South-Eastern Bangladesh. After the fire broke out on Sunday, more than 2000 shelters of Cox's Bazar camp have been affected till now.

It is estimated that around 12,000 people who fled violence in neighboring Myanmar are now homeless.

The fire spread around 3:45 pm local time on Sunday, following the incineration of a shelter home made of bamboo or a tent.

The cause of the fire has not been revealed and no casualties have been reported yet.
