Powerful quake hits Kermadec Island in New Zealand

Hong Kong, March 4: A powerful earthquake hit Kermadec Island in New Zealand on Saturday morning. A 6.9 magnitude quake hit the Island at 6:41 am according to the US Geological Survey.

It has been stated that the epicenter of the earthquake at a depth of 151.6 km was initially located at 29.874 degrees south latitude and 178.431 degrees west longitude. Details regarding the impact of the earthquake are yet to be made public.
