This is how the new coalition is planning to share power
KATHMANDU, March 1: The eight-memner alliance is currently busy making strategies for power sharing.
A head of the presidential election, this alliance is preparing to organize a provincial level meeting in the provinces.
As Nepal’s presidential election is approaching fast, the government is likely to expand the Cabinet only after the election, according to Ramesh Lekhak, chief whip of the parliamentary party of Nepali Congress. Likewise, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is also scheduled to take a vote of confidence.
The Nepali Congress has staked its claim on 10 ministries including the Home or Finance and Foreign or Health while the CPN (Unified Socialist) and the Janata Samajbadi Party have staked their claim for three ministries each.
Similarly, the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party has staked its claim for one ministry while the Nagarik Unmukti Party has decided not to go to government until Resham Chaudhary is released.
Likewise, Prime Minister Dahal has begun preparations to welcome Rastriya Swatantra Party in the government as well. If the party joins the government, it is likely to get three ministries.
Also, the Nepali Congress will form its government in Sudurpaschim Province, JSP in Madhesh Province and CPN (Maoist Center) in Bagmati and Karnali Province and new eight member coalition. Additionally, the Nepali Congress has staked its claim for the post of Chief Minister in four provinces.
