These three parties agree on electing CPN (US) Chair Nepal as Nepal’s next president
KATHMANDU, Feb 23: CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party have agreed on filing candidacy of Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of CPN (US) in the upcoming presidential election.
A meeting of these parties held earlier on Thursday at Singha Durbar took a decision to this effect.
The parties have also decided to convince Nepali Congress and CPN-UML for a national consensus for the election of the new president of the country.
Earlier, the CPN-UML, a key coalition partner of the Dahal-led government, had also suggested PM Dahal to go for either Madhav Nepal or Krishna Prasad Sitaula as the next president of Nepal.
