T-20 spot fixing: Aadil Ansari released from jail on bail of Rs 300,000

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Aadil Ansari, Nepali Men’s National Cricket Team member, has been released from jail on bail of Rs 300,000.
Earlier, Ansari was arrested on charge of spot fixing.
The court on Wednesday had passed an order to release Ansari on bail.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has recorded statements of 47 individuals including players, team manager, investors and organizers in connection with T-20 League spot fixing.
Based on that statement, the CIB has also filed a case against five individuals namely Mehboob Alam, Mohamad Adhil Alam, Nitesh Gupta, Nabin Kandel and Rabi Majhi. Among these people, Majhi and Kandel are yet to be arrested.
