Deuba and Dahal had agreed to support us during the presidential election ahead of election: Madhav Nepal

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) maintained that Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba had earlier agreed to support CPN (US) during the presidential election.
Speaking to journalists in Dang on Tuesday, Nepal said that the party has not made any decisions regarding the election of president adding that Congress and Maoist Center had earlier agreed to support his party.
After the general election, Dahal was appointed Prime Minister in support of CPN-UML and some other parties after Nepali Congress refused to elect Dahal as PM finally breaking the then ruling alliance of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (US), Janata Samajbadi Party and Janamorcha Party.
