LALITPUR, Feb. 2: Travelers are suffering because there are no zebra crossings on the main roads of Lalitpur. Pedestrians have complained that the concerned authorities have not paid attention even though the existing zebra crossings have been removed. After the road was black-topped, the road division office delayed placing the zebra cross in its original place, so the passengers are forced to cross the road dangerously. Even though various sections from Kupandol to Satdobato in Lalitpur have been black-topped, the work of making zebra crossings in the previous places has not been started, and the removed zebra crossings in Lagankhel and other areas have also not been restored.

Mukundaraj Adhikari, Head of Road Division Office, Lalitpur, informed that zebra crossings were not installed on the road section from Jawalakhel to Satdobato due to the leakage of water supply project pipes. He said that zebra crossings will be placed on the road section from Kupandol to Jawalakhel within a few days.
