Two Air Force fighter jets crash in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India

INDIA, Jan. 28: Two fighter jets of the Indian Air Force, Sukhoi 30 and Mirage 2000, have crashed in the Morena district of Madhya Pradesh. Morena District Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Bagari has confirmed the incident. ADG Adarsh Katiyar of Madhya Pradesh told news agency PTI that the cause of the plane crash has not been confirmed yet. He said, "It is not clear whether the planes collided with each other in the air or not."
Adarsh Katiyar said that two pilots of the crashed fighter jet separated themselves from the plane but could not get information about the third pilot. According to the news agency PTI, two Indian Air Force fighter jets had taken off from Gwalior airport before the accident.
Expressing grief over the incident, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote on Twitter, "The news of the Air Force Sukhoi-30 and Mirage-2000 plane crash near Kailaras in Morena is very sad. I have directed the local administration to assist the Air Force in speedy rescue and relief operations. I pray to God that the pilots of the plane will be safe."
