Attack on Imran Khan a well-planned conspiracy: Inquiry Committee

PAKISTAN, Dec. 28: The Joint Investigation Committee (JIT) is investigating the incident of gunfire on Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan. JIT has claimed it to be a 'well-planned conspiracy' against Khan. 
Imran Khan, who was on a long march for Islamabad, was attacked last month. In the incident, Khan was shot in the right leg. According to the news agency PTI, citing the JIT report, the Interior Minister of Pakistan's Punjab province Omar Sharif said the attack on Khan was a "well-planned conspiracy".
He said, "JIT has found out that multiple attackers were involved in the attack." The police have arrested the main accused Mohammad Naveed who will remain in custody till January 3. Sharif has said that Naveed, who is a trained killer, was at the scene along with his accomplices. He said that Naved also failed the polygraph test. Naveed had told the police that he wanted to kill Imran Khan for playing music during the azaan at the long march.
