Three assistant coaches appointed for National Women Football team
KATHMANDU, July 20: Three assistant coaches have been appointed for the Nepali National Women Football team which is presently on the closed training for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification.
The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has hired Bhagawati Rana Magar, Aruna Gurung and Chetan Ghimire as the assistant coaches for the team. Their term is until the preparation for the qualification match, according to ANFA Spokesperson Kiran Rai.
Likewise, Prakash Baidhya has been given the responsibility of coaching a goalkeeper for the squad. A total of 45 players have been summoned for the closed practice kicked off since Monday.
Anjana Rana Magar, Anjila Subba, Ushanath, Sabitri Kishan, Sapana Rai, Renuka Nagarkoti, Saru Limbu, Anita Basnet, Anita KC, Gita Rana, Anjali Yonjan, Preeti Rai, Nisha Thokar, Srijana Chemjong, Heera Bhujel, Ranina Gole, Sushma Tamang, Punam Jarga Magar, Kabita Dhimal, Sunita Chaudhary, Bimala BK, Deepa Rai, Sapana Lama, Rashmi Ghishing, Sharmila Thapa and Indra Rai are in the closed session-training.
Similarly, Bimala Chaudhary, Amrita Joshi, Ghim Kumari Gurung, Sirjana Khadka, Nirmala BK, Manisha Raut, Pooja Rana, Nirmala Upadhyay, Rekha Poudel, Deepa Neupane, Shiwani Kushwar, Saraswoti Hamal, Amisha Karki, Kushum Khatiwada, Sirjana Singh, Sabita Rana, Rajani Thokar, Saloni Rana Magar and Chumlungma Rai are also attending training.
Nepal is playing the qualification match remaining in 'F' group. Philippines and Hong Kong are also in the ' F' group. The qualification match of the group will be held in Nepal. The AFC has fixed the date for the qualification matches from September 13 to June 23. The winner of the match will be qualified to 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup scheduled to be held in India next year.
