Nepal’s playing XI for tonight’s match against Iraq, Dangi and Shrestha make debut

KATHMANDU, May 29: 

Nepal’s National Football Team Coach Abdullah Almutairi has introduced defender Gautam Shrestha and midfielder Manish Dangi in tonight's friendly match against Iraq. 

Here's how the team line-up for today's friendly against Iraq: 

Goalkeeper: Kiran Kumar Limbu

Defenders: Gautam Shrestha, Rohit Chand, Ananta Tamang, Suman Aryal 

MId-Fielders: Manish Dangi, Pujan Uperkoti, Santosh Tamang

Strikers: Anjan Bista, Nawayug Shretha, Sujan Lama 

Nepal has played three times against Iraq, losing on all three occasions. The latest of the match was in April, 2001 when Iraq defeated Nepal 4-2 in World Cup Qualifier.

The friendly match against Iraq will be followed by the second round of World Cup Qualifiers against Chinese Taipei on June 3, against Jordan on June 7 and against Australia on June 11.
