PM Oli to make statement on Guthi bill through news conference

Kathmandu–Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his regret for not getting the opportunity to inform the parliament on contemporary topics including his Europe visit and the Guthi bill due to the obstruction by the main opposition party, Nepali Congress.

"I could not inform the esteemed parliament regarding the matters of public concern on contemporary topics. I am saddened by this incident," PM Oli stated in his Twitter handle after the postponement of the House of Representatives' meeting today.

The meeting was put off due to obstruction of Nepali Congress. NC lawmakers stood from their respective seats as a gesture of protest and surrounded the rostrum soon after Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara gave time to the Prime Minister for putting his view.

The Speaker announced the postponement of the parliament meeting thereafter. PM Oli is scheduled to make his views on these topics public through a news conference this evening.
