Government policy and programme socialism-oriented

Gorkha–Spokesperson of Communist Party of Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said the government's annual policy and programme is socialism-oriented.

At a press meet organised by Nepal Press Organization, Gorkha chapter on Wednesday, he termed the previous year as successful in preparing foundation for prosperity.

"Upcoming budget will align the policy and programme laying emphasis on efforts to steer the country towards socialism and prosperity", he further said.

The annual budget to be presented on May 29 would address immediate needs of the Nepali people, Spokesperson Shrestha said, adding, "The budget would also address the concerns of the opposition parties".

He also disclosed that preparation is underway to increase allowance for senior citizen. ---
