Gaighat, Udayapur– A woman was killed by lightning strike at Katari municipality-8 in Udayapur district on Tuesday night. The deceased, local resident Kalimaya Ale, was sitting at her house when the disaster occurred, said the police.
A storm that occurred at night also destroyed fruits and crops farming in some areas of the district including Hadiya, Sundarpur of Chaudandi municipality and Tapeshowri of Belaka municipality, incurring thousands of rupees worth of losses to the farmers. ---
