Sarlahi–Three people died and 31 were injured in a bus accident occurred this morning at Lalbandi municipality-1 in Sarlahi along the East-West Highway.
The District Police Office, Sarlahi confirmed the deaths of Shreekant Chaudhary, 50, of Ramdhuni municipality and Anil Urau, 23, of Chhetaha rural municipality, Sunsari; and Babali Urau, 25, of Burahi rural municipality-6, Morang in the accident happened at around 4:30 am.
The reserved bus (Ba 3 Kha 1318) crashed into a tree on the roadside and over-speed is blamed for the accident. Among the injured, the condition of four is critical, as police said. The people on the ill-fated bus were returning home after working at the Sindhupalchowk-based Joshi Hydropower.
The severely injured were taken towards Biratnagar for further treatment while remaining others have been admitted to various local health facilities .---
