Air service at Rajbiraj closed from today

Rajbiraj– Air service at Rajbiraj airport of Saptari district has been closed from today. The air service was brought into operation regularly from June 24, 2018. In the beginning, Shree Airlines had operated flights for five days in a week. According to Rajbiraj office of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the Shree Airlines, which had limited its fights to three days in a week, showing technical problems within few months after the operation of flights, has now completely closed the flights from today.

Station Manager at the Shree Airlines, Suresh Mallik, said that they have closed the air service as repair and maintenance work of engine of aeroplane has been started. He said that the Shree Airlines has closed its service at Rajbiraj airport for the time being as it would take around two weeks for the repair and maintenance of the engine. Shyam Rajak of Rajbiraj municipality-3 said that one has to travel 90 kilometers in a micro bus to reach to Biratnagar for air service.
