Ban on Biplav-led CPN is undemocratic move: NC leader KC

Pokhara– Nepali Congress central committee member Arjun Narsingh KC has said that ban on the party led by Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav' was an undemocratic move. 


At a news conference organised by Nepal Press Union, Kaski, here today, leader KC cast doubt that the country could be pushed again into conflict due to government's such move. 


He said, "The activities of Biplav should be controlled by carrying out surveillance. But, the party cannot be banned. Ban on political party is undemocratic as well as against the constitution." 


Saying the government has become failure to ensure security and freedom to the people, the NC leader stressed the fair investigation into financial embezzlement on wide-body aircraft and 4G scams. 


Responding to a query of media persons over weak role of the opposition party, he clarified that they have been moving ahead as per democratic process as NC is a responsible opposition. 


Leader KC further said that the party has been moving ahead being transparent in policy and leadership manner. (Photo available)
