'Cultural heritages means of economic prosperity'

Banepa– Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Banskota has said that our cultural heritages should be used for bringing in economic prosperity in the country. 


At a Sonam Lhochhar programme organised by Mandan Deupur Lhochhar Cultural Festival 2075 in Kavre, Minister Banskota said that available means should be utilised to transform the cultural strength into economic power. He opined to move ahead by integrating resources like water, forest, land, human and knowledge in an integrated manner for this materialize. 


On the occasion, Minister Banskota said that people of all religious, lingual, ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the country are equal and there is no discrimination and suppression against them. He also called one and all to unite in the mega campaign of prosperous nation building process. 


Stating that culture was also a vital part of tourism infrastructure, Minister Banskota pledged the government's full support for the promotion of tourism related activities. 


Similarly, he said that the government has decided to release the postal stamp of Bouddhanath-- an established identity of Tamang community--for the nation's international fame.
