Musikot–Six persons of a same family were injured after being struck by lightning here this morning. The lightning struck the house of one Jeet Bahadur Oli at Macchimi of Musikot municipality-3, Rukum (West) leaving the six including four children injured, the District Police Office confirmed.
According to Police Inspector Pramod Kumar Chhetri, Jeet Bahadur’s spouse Kamala Khadka Oli, 28, his two sons - Chintan, 11 and Manan, 7 were also injured in the incident. Others injured are his brother’s wife Samiti Oli, 25, and her daughter Durga, 9, and son Dipesh, 7. All the injured are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Salleri. The lightning has almost destroyed the one-storey house of Jeet Bahadur.
