Govt. bringing new health policy: DPM Yadav

Birgunj–Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, has said the government was planning to bring a new health policy because the existing health policy was faulty.

At a programme organsied by Federal Press Forum’s Parsa Chapter here today, the DPM assured, "Every Nepali will get basic health service after formulating the new health policy."

The government, as he said, has adopted a policy to establish health science academy in all provinces, develop Janakpur Zonal Hospital into the provincial hospital and establish provincial health training centre.

DPM Yadav stressed the need of formulating a new law by amending around 56 laws in view of the federalism.
Stressing the need of empowering local levels, DPM Yadav said it was necessary to make provincial government self-dependent.

On a different note, he said Birgunj and Janakpur can be equally developed.
