Achham–A teenage girl has become the victim of rape in Achham even as the 16-day campaign against violence against women was in progress.
Police has arrested a 33-year-old man on the charge of sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl. The arrestee is Milan Bhul of Bhandarigaun, Sanfebagar municipality-4. He is in police custody at the District Police Office.
Bhul has been arrested on the basis of the complaint the girl lodged with the police, Deputy Superintendent of Achham Police, Janak Bahadur Shahi, said.
It is stated that Bhul raped girl on December 9. The girl informed about the incident to the Area Police Office, Sanfebagar immediately after the incident leading to Bhul’s arrest. He was arrested from his house. An investigation is underway in to the incident, police stated.
