EPL – Biratnagar Warriors beat Pokhara Rhinos

Kathmandu–Biratnagar Warriors registered their second consecutive win in the ongoing Everest Premier League (EPL) T20 cricket tournament, defeating Pokhara Rhinos in the super-over in a match held today.

Pokhara, who were sent to bat first after losing the toss at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground at Kirtipur, had posed a 85-run target to Biratnagar.

In reply, Biratnagar hit 84 runs in 19.3 overs losing their all wickets, taking the game to the super-over.
Biratnagar added 20 runs in the super-overs and gave a 21-eun target to Pokhara. Pokhara were limited to 13 runs.
With this win, Biratnagar has four points from two games. It had defeated Lalitpur Patriots in the first game played on Monday.

The chances for Pokhara to advance to the second stage of the EPL have become slim with three consecutive defeats so far. It was defeated by Bhairahawa in the first game and by Lalitpur in the second game.
