Kathmandu Kings XI defeats Chitwan Tigers by six wickets in EPL

 

Kathmandu–Kathmandu Kings XI beat Chitwan Tigers by six wickets in today's match under the third edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL) at Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. 
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, the Chitwan made 160 runs for all wickets in 19.5 overs. 


In the chase of the 161 runs target, the Kathmandu achieved it in 18.5 overs losing four wickets. Subramanyam Aananda made the highest 43 runs, while Sagar Pun 39, Naresh Budhaayer 22 and Amit Shrestha 18. Samshad Shekh and Pradip Sahu took three wickets each. Likewise, Sagar Pun, Amar Singh Rautela and Kevin O'Brien claimed one wicket each. 


For the Chitwan, Sahab Alam claimed two wickets. Likewise, Lalit Singh Bhandari and Paul Stirling took one wicket each. 


Dipendra Singh Airee hit the highest 45 runs for the Chitwan, while Stirling 34. Likewise, Sandip Sunar contributed 25, Prithu Baskota 20 and Bhim Sarki seven. 


Pokhara Rhinos is now batting against Lalitpur Patriots in another match.
