Rajbiraj–The District Court, Saptari has convicted two people of an attempted rape, thus awarding each of them three and half years in prison.
Those convicts are Jibachha Ram, 35, of Bishnupur rural municipality-5 and Isarail Miya, 30 of Bishnupur-3.
earlier, the District Police Office, Saptari on March 11 received a complaint of rape against the two. They had been accused of taking a woman returning home from a wedding function in the village and raping her taking to a paddy field on March 9 .
In response to the complaint, the Nepal Police arrested them from Bihar, India with the help of the Indian police.
The court said that the case of rape against the two could not be proved and it was converted into to attempted gang rape. ---
