DPM Pokharel asks UAE to invest in Nepal

 

 

Kathmandu – Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwar Pokharel has asked the business communities and investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to invest in Nepal. 


DPM Pokharel said so during a meeting with Ambassador of UAE to Nepal Saeed Hamdan Al Naqei on Wednesday. 
Saying that Nepal has attached top priority to its relations with UAE since there are around 200,000 Nepali migrant workers, Pokharel asked the UAE envoy to invest from UAE business community as the Government of Nepal has unveiled investment-friendly policies to welcome FDI. 


On the occasion, Ambassador Naqei said that Nepali migrant workers in UAE were contributing to security, construction and service sectors of UAE. 


According to Spokesperson of Defence Ministry Baburam Gautam, the UAE envoy said that the investors from the UAE are ready to invest in agriculture, tourism, transport, airport management and other areas.
