Cold increases due to impact of westerly winds

Kathmandu –Temperature in most of the parts of country dipped today as a result of partial cloudy skies due to impact of westerly winds. 


According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are changes of light snowfall at a few places of the high mountainous region today and isolated brief rain has been predicted at one or two places of the hilly region.

Though the minimum temperature has not been affected, constant temperature during daytime has caused cold in several parts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley, said meteorologist Ganga Nagarkoti. The Division has forecast partly cloudy sky in the hilly regions tonight and mainly fair in the rest of the country. Sporadic brief rain is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions.---
