3rd International Literary Conference to be held in Kolkata

Kathmandu – The third international literary conference is to take place in Kolkata, India on December 8-9. India-Nepal People's Friendly Cultural Forum of Kolkata is organizing the event. 


The event will be supported by the New Delhi-based Nepali Embassy, Kolkata-based Consulate General Office, BP Koirala Foundation, New Delhi; Nepal Commerce Committee Kolkata, Oceanic Express LLP, Jupiter Cargo and Samyukta Nepali Central Service Association, among others. 


Literary figures from Nepal, India, Bhutan and Myanmar will be participating in the seminar. 
Dr Amar Giri, Dr Ramji Timilsina and Prof Tek Bahadur Chhetri are taking part in the event with separate working papers related to Nepali literature. 


The event will go through discussions on topics like "Indian sub continental languages are disappearing from the present world and "impact of new electronic devices on youths". 


On the occasion, 'Basanta' (Bengali language), a Kabya Sangraha by Basanta Chaudhary and 'Laaj', a collection of anthology, by Tikaram Bhitrikoti will be released and a cultural documentary screened by Tulsi Prabhas. 


Nepal Academy Chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti, Harihar Sharma, Rajendra Shalav, Raman Ghimire, Radheshyam Lekali, Dibya Giri, Rhishav Ghimire, Dharmaraj Baral, Subhadra Bhattarai and Gokul Adhikari will also represent Nepal in the seminar.
