Lahan – An elderly man has been arrested with two kilograms of the banned narcotic, marijuana.
Sitai Yadav,70, of Niraha municipality-5 was arrested by a police team on Saturday. Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the house of Sitai and confiscated the drug concealed in plastic bags.
Also on Saturday evening, a forest office team confiscated illegally cut timber from Dhodhana in ward no. 15 of Lahan municipality.
The timber was illegally cut down from the Chure jungle, according to the Divisional Forest Office, Lahan.
