Melamchi – District coordination committee, Sindhupalchowk member Desh Bahadur Tamang has been severely injured, as he was attacked by a sharp weapon and a bottle on Monday.
He was allegedly hit by his younger brother. The accused used a khukuri and the bottle of beer for the attack.
The committee has condemned the attack on the people's representatives through a press statement today and has sought stern action against the guilty.
It is said that Tamang was assaulted by his brother regarding the dispute over construction of a road. The injured is being treated at the Dhulikhel Hospital.
