Palpa –A person has died when the tipper he was driving met with an accident at Jyamire of Nishdi rural municipality in Palpa district last night. The deceased is 28-year-old Hum Bahadur Mahato of Madhyabindu municipality-2, Nawalparasi.
Mahato was seriously injured when his tipper hit a stationary truck on the road and overturned due to brake failure. He died while being taken to Madhyabindu Community Hospital, police said.
In a separate incident that took place in the district this morning, two persons were injured when a pickup van met with an accident as it could not negotiate a steep uphill road at Hulangdi in the district headquarters, Tansen. The injured are being treated at the United Mission Hospital in Tansen, police stated.
