Financial assistance under Qatar Charity to 33 needy students

Nepalgunj –A total of 33 orphaned, physically disabled and children from the poor community were provided financial assistance in Banke under the Qatar Charity project operational under the Qatar government's social protection programme. 


The students under 17 from district-based different community schools, madarasa, and private schools were given Rs 6,000 to 32,000 each amidst a programme organised here today by the Banke UNESCO Club. 


On the occasion, Nepalgunj Sub metropolis' education chief Mana Prasad Regmi underlined the need of providing literacy classes to parents/guardians from the Madheshi and Muslim community which are lagging behind in terms of educational opportunities. 


Qatar Charity Kathmandu's programme officer Ziaur Rahman Khan said efforts were made for financially assisting orphaned, poor and helpless children from the Muslim community in Banke who bear the brunt of financial crisis, being deprived of education.
