Kathmandu – Nepali Congress leader Tej Prasad Upreti has died today. He was 84.
Upreti, also former member of NC Mahasamiti, had played an important role in democratic movements. The NC has extended condolence to the bereaved family.
Upreti's demise has caused a blow to the party, said a statement issued by NC Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel. His mortal body would be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat today itself. Upreti is survived by a wife, three sons and four daughters.
