Call for uplifting living standard of Dalits within Muslim community

Parsa –Chief Minister of Province 2 Lalbabu Raut Gaddi today urged the central government to provide reservation quotas for Dalits within the Muslim community. 

"Like in most community, the Muslim society has Dalits. And it is the responsibility of the government to help uplift their living condition by providing them reservation," he said at a felicitation programme organised here by Nepal Hawari Welfare Committee, Parsa. 

On the occasion, other speakers including parliament member Pradeep Yadav, provincial assembly member Janta Ansari viewed that the central and provincial governments should take initiatives in improving the living standards of the Dalit community.
