Over 15 wounded in jackal attack

Betrawati –A jackal that strayed from nearby forest into the human settlement at Likhu rural municipality of Nuwakot bit over 15 people, leaving them injured. 


The animal entered the settlement and randomly attacked people at Dhikure Bazar and Chaugadha Bazar and surrounding areas Saturday, according to Area Police Office, Dhikure's Assistant Sub Inspector of Police, Purna Bahadur Lama. 


Chandra Bahadur Thapa Magar, Kopila Thapa Magar, Jyoti Thapa Magar, Sonam Thapa Magar, Geeta Nepali and Bhim Rijal are among those wounded in the jackal attack. 


The injured are undergoing treatment at the Nuwakot District Hospital, Trishuli. The animal may be infected with rabies and the people have been urged to be aware of it.
