Foreigners construct resource centre building in West Rukum

Musikot, West Rukum –A building for a resource centre has been constructed with support from foreign tourists here in Tribeni Rural Municipality-6. 


The building will house an information centre, a library and an agricultural laboratory. The earthquake resilient building was built with the labour and financial help from more than 100 tourists from various countries at the cost of Rs 1 million, said Director of the resource centre Hukum Prasad Devkota. 


The resource centre will also provide internet service, said Ranju Bhandari, Chairperson of the joint campaign for development, Nepal campaign, which initiated in the building construction. 


The newly constructed building has been handed over to the municipality amid a programme recently. "Upon the building handover, we are planning to accommodate the youth and sports branch in it," said chief administrative officer Tej Kumar Oli.
