Budget doled out for technical education

Urlabari –The Pathari Shanishchare Municipality in Morang district has provided Rs 500,000 to a trust founded by Madan Bhandari Memorial Foundation to be utilized for the technical education of economically deprived students. 


Mayor Dilip Kumar Rai, Chief Administrative Officer Surya Prasad Gautam and Foundation’s Employment Counseling and Marketing Officer Bhuwan Kumar Dhimal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect on Wednesday. 


The Foundation has brought ‘Technical Education Souvenir Loan Scheme’ into operation since 2065 BS to invest for the education of economically deprived ones from the trust. The beneficiaries have to pay the loan after income generation, it is said. 


So far, altogether 43 students including 17 from the same municipality are pursuing their studies in the Foundation under the scheme, Counseling and Marketing Officer Dhimal said. He shared that so far Rs 11.5 million has been collected in the trust and the Foundation has offered its scheme for students pursuing courses on CMA, general medicine, PCL in Nursing, I.Sc in Agriculture, I.Sc in Crop Science, I.Sc in Veterinary Science, Diploma in Civil Engineering and some others.
